Alex Kanyankore sacked as CEO OF BRD

The Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD) has knifed Alex Kanyankore replacing him with Eric Rutaban as its Chief Executive Officer on Thursday, according reports from the bank.

According to inside sources, BRD Board of Directors have appointed Eric Rutabana who has been the head of corporate and investment banking at Bank Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) as new CEO.

Kanyankore was working with BRD for the past four years having been appointed in July 2013 to replace Jack Kayonga who was at the helm of the bank since 2009.

Previously he was the head of the National Agricultural Export Board (NAEB).
