Breaking News:21people wounded in Kamembe grenade attack

Kigali-at exactly 07:58Pm this evening, at least 21 people are reportedly wounded and four of them were seriously injured in a grenade attack in Kamembe town of Rusizi district in the Western province.

According to the eye witness, the grenade busted at the wall of Kamembe market where the motorcycles park just in front of the market.

The police spokesman Superintendent Theos Badege has confirmed the incident to the greatlakesvoice.com

“We are still investigating the incident, we haven’t apprehended any suspect yet but our investigators are still gathering the information at the scene,” Supt. Theos Badege said

However, one eye witness only identified as Olive, told greatlakesvoice.com that, due to the high number of the people who were gathered in front of the market, it is not easy to tell the exact number of causalities.

“People are many here. Since, the market was closing, and this busy place here, nobody can say exactly the number.

I, have seen police transporting four people  to the hospital completely died. they were not breathing, i saw that,” She said.
