Capitol Hill probing Rwanda’s role over DRC conflict

Washington-USA-The Sub-committee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights (US Parliamentary Committee on Africa) today will hold hearings on the subject of Rwanda’s alleged involvement in the eastern DRC and invite representatives from the DRC but not Rwanda.

The committee will be “Examining the Role of Rwanda in the DRC Insurgency” In this hearing no Rwanda government voice will be heard.

Only Congo side has been invited including: Bishop Ntambo Nkulu Ntanda (United Methodist Church of North Katanga, DRC, also Mr. Mark Schneider (Senior Vice President of the International Crisis Group) and Mr. Jason Stearns who claims to be an expert on great Lakes region.

The results of this hearing might lead to further action from the USA if Rwandan government doesn’t show any concern.

This hearing will be from 16pm (local time) and 10am (DC time)
