DRC enforces tight security in Kasai occidental

Tshikapa, Kasai-Congolese army FARDC and Police joint patrols are organized day and night to try to cope with the rising insecurity in Tshikapa, in Kasai-Occidental. This decision was made Tuesday, December 27 at a meeting of security joint FARDC-PNC, aims to strengthen the security of the community and their property.

Sources reported that the last case of insecurity in Tshikapa was back last Sunday, December 25 when a group of unidentified armed men had broke into a deposit of fuel sales and took the whole fuel leaving hardly accessible town without any fuel.

The FARDC security sources reports that the thugs had mastered the first and the second guard had managed to escape as the sub-police station alerted, police officer refused to give up his post to intervene.

These robbers took more than 400 gallons of heating oil and gasoline.

According to the guard of the deposit, these thugs are identified to patrol because of their outfits that live in the same area.

Two weeks before, a clothing boutique located 50 m from the Staff of the FARDC in downtown Tshikapa was emptied of its goods.

Dwelling houses to Kanzalam Dibumba I and II were also robbed.
