The two match commissioners are ineligible to handle any game within the national football league structures according to statment from the local football governing body FERWAFA.

This follows the request from the refereeing commission, Nshimiyimana has been handed a six-month ban while Niyitegeka will be out for a month.

Nshimiyimana is at fault for failure to honour the women football league match between Bugesera WFC and Scandinavia WFC held in Kamabuye on February 2, 2018 were he was the appointed match commissioner.

He never communicated his unavailability to the appointing refereeing commission so as to enable them find a replacement.

Despite several calls from the commission to secure an explanation from him, Nshimiyimana failed to honour any calls hence the lengthy suspension.

Niyitegeka was the match commissioner of a second division league between Hope Fc and UR Fc which was due to be played in Rutsiro on February 25, 2018. Hope Fc won maximum points without playing any the game because UR could not honour the game.

According to the report, Niyitegeka didn’t appear at the match venue on that day and after offering an explanation to the refereeing commission, the latter was found faulty in breaching his obligation as a match commissioner hence the decision to hand him a one-month suspension.
