The National football head coach of Ivory Coast, Michel Dussuyer, describes the loss to hosts Rwanda as a disappointment, but believes his team has the potential to make a comeback in today action against Morocco at the CHAN 2016.

The French born told the press his team will fight back in the remaining two Group A games to be able to have a chance to qualify for the next stage, following a 1-0 loss to hosts Rwanda in the opening game.

The Frenchman said “We had better chances of winning the first game, especially when we missed the some good opportunities in the second half. It is a disappointment, and we were unfortunate but I believe we shall recover in the second game.”

Amavubi (Wasps) defender Emery Bayisenge scored a 16th minute goal through a superb free kick to reward his team with a victory however, he failed to make it two when he failed to convert a penalty.

Coach Dussuyer team will battle it out with the tantalizing Atlas Lions of Morocco when they return to action on January 20th, in a match that sees them facing two unavoidable situations, either winning or drawing if they are to stand a chance to advance into the group stages of the qualifiers.

The Elephants are bottom of the Group A with no point; Gabon and Morocco have a point each after a goalless draw while hosts Rwanda have three points.
