KIGALI-RWANDA-A former FDLR rebel combatant Capt. Nshimiyimana Eraste a.k.a Platau has abandoned rebellion and repatriated to Rwanda.

The former rebel, who returned to Rwanda on 24 July, was formerly operating in Rufuro, Masisi territory. Both Masisi and Rutchuru face big pressure from M23 rebels

Capt. Nshimiyimana advises his colleagues still in the jungles of DRCongo to drop their mission and return to Rwanda and work with other citizens to develop their home country.

He (Nshimiyimana) commended the great treatment he was received with and thus urged other rebels in the bush to return home as soon as possible.

Capt. Nshimiyimana Eraste is a former resident of Nyarugeshi, Kajwi, Nyarutovu in Ruhengeri Prefecture according to Local media

Efforts to speak to Brig. Gen. Nzabamwita was futile, since he could not pick our call by the press time
