Radio France International signal reinstated

Kinshasa, DRC-The signal transmission of Radio France International, RFI, was reinstated January 9, 2012 after more than a week off announcement Reporters Without Borders.

This news is however tempered by the closure for 45 days of Community Radio Katanga (RCK), ordered by Mukanya Ilunga, head of communications division of Katanga, January 6, 2012.

He is accused of having broadcast radio programs RFI while they were banned by the authorities in Kinshasa. Reporters Without Borders condemns this illegal decision and calls on authorities to reopen the signal RCK immediately.
