RRA to face Cameroons Nyong in Club Volleyball Championship opener

Rwanda side Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) will take on Cameroons Nyong in the opening fixture of their 2018 Women’s Club Championship slated on Wednesday in Cairo, Egyptian capital.

RRA Women Volleyball Club has been in Cairo since Sunday in readiness for this year’s Africa Club Championships due to be held in Cairo, from March 6-15. Besides Nyong of Cameroon, RRA is placed in the same Pool along with hosts and record holders Al Ahly who have won eight titles and the Ugandan champions Nkumba University of Nkumba.

Ahly started their campaign on the right foot after they topped Uganda’s Nkumba University in straight sets (25-7, 25-12, 25-16), the Egyptian dominated the match completely although their coach fielded all the squad during the three sets. Ukrainian Katenya Silchnkova led the scorers with 12 points, while Habiba Nawala led the losers with 8 points.
