Rwanda:Governor Bosenibamwe wraps women on family planning

Bosenibamwe Aime, Northern Province Governor has asked women to be more vigilant with men who exploit them by giving them many children and make them old, then after men leave them to look for the nice looking and young girls.

According to Bosenibamwe, Northern Province is the most density populated area in Rwanda to 800 Hector and the style remains at stake due to polygamy. “I have only three children. I am the governor of this province; I think I have a better life than the rest of you. Then, how comes that many of you have more children than me?” Governor Bosenibamwe asked.

“Having many children weakness the women making her become old before the given time. I warn you that these men should stop from cheating you.”

Alice Ingabire Rugira, the reporter with Musanze community Radio affiliated to the state broadcaster Radio Rwanda accept that there is an issue of density population in Northern province and she thinks that family planning mobilization should be applied mostly to men. Domestic violence in Musanze district remains high to the local officials say the problem is caused by polygamous.

“Many women use family planning, the unfortunate part of it is that, Men go out to have other children and bring them back home, which many times causes many conflict including murders in the family,” Ingabire said.
