Rebel forces believed to be of Uganda Allied for Democratic Forces (ADF) has burned more than five civilian homes and looted nine shops in a weekend night attack in the town of Mavivi, north of Beni, 20 km.
The local civil society says a child under the age of 10 was also shot dead during fighting between the ADF and the FARDC. Three motorcycles were also set on fire by the rebels.

Djamali Moussa says calm has since returned in the area. He adds that the nine-year-old who was shot and wounded is receiving treatment at Oicha General Hospital.
