DR Congo to join Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi railway deal

Kigali, Rwanda- the central corridor railway deal that will be connecting Tanzania from Isaka via Kigali, Bujumbura is attracting to the neighboring country Democratic Republic of Congo.

The $5 Billion project was initially designed for the three countries, now the Rwanda government has announced DRC will be joining the deal.

“The project is going on well and DR Congo is showing the interest in joining the deal. However, since the funds needed as investment too much for the states, we are encouraging the private investors to join hands in the deal,” Albert Nsengiyumva, the Rwanda’s infrastructure minister said

Great Lakes voice is still to get Congolese position in the 1600 Km deal.
