Dr. Willibrod Slaa of CHADEMA accuses Tanzania Electoral Commission, Security of fraud

Tanzania Opposition Leader Dr Slaa

Dar Es Salaam-The Democratic and Development party president and flag bearer, Dr Willibrod Slaa has rushed out to the Tanzania electoral commission (NEC) accusing the national body for carrying out fraud in election adding that he will not accept the outcome of votes counting to find the next Tanzanian President.

“I wonder really if this electoral body wish Tanzania peace for sure. There is allot of fraud carried out by NEC and Democratic and Development party is following it closely,” the opposition leader, Slaa said.

The 62-year-old Slaa, who ran in Sunday’s presidential election on the ticket of CHADEMA, the Swahili acronym for Democracy and Development Party, also said security agents had tampered with both the results and the number of votes cast.

“We request NEC not to announce the results since is characterised by allot of anomalies and fraud in the way that security agents have tampered with it,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Tanzania’s ruling party Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has already announced that they have confidence they will win the Presidential election and Parliament majority regardless of the opposition.

In a related story, our reporter in Dar es Salaam who is on his way to Zanzibar to witness the event at Aman stadium in Ungunja town to announce Dr Ali Mohammed Shein as an official winner of semi autonomous Zanzibar as a president.

The government of Zanzimba has announced the day of holiday to witness the event where the former Presidents of Tanzania and Zanzibar are reported to be there.
