DRC team shines with three medals

Shining medals for the Congolese youth in junior and youth Championships of Central African in Yaounde, Cameroon, the Congolese tam vow now to perform better next time.

The Congolese returned yesterday to the country, won three gold medals and one silver medal. Lomba Bilisi finished first in the 110 meters hurdles combined Junior and Cadet (14 minutes 61 seconds).

The athlete also won the 400 meter hurdles in 56 seconds. And finally, Lomba has successfully jumped to a 80 meter high jump, taking second place in the contest.

Augustine Kalambayi ran the 400 meter hurdles in 59 seconds, winning in passing the bronze medal. And at a meeting in Brazzaville on Sunday, Amisi, 16, finished in fourth place 1500 meters in 5 minutes 22 seconds.

Thom Kisenda, 3rd vice-president of the League Athletics Kinshasa, said that following the results of Congolese team in the competition, Congolese government should invest more money to athletes for the development of this discipline.
