Junior Kung Fu Wushu Ambassador Cup to be organized

For the first time, Rwanda National Kung Fu Federation, RKWF will host a kid’s competition on July 28, 2019, according to the latest report.

The Juniors Ambassadors Cup 2019 will be organized to mark the 70th anniversary of Peoples Republic of China.

According to Rwanda Kung Fu Federation President Marc Uwiragiye, the junior’s competition will be the first of its kind to be organized annually in Rwanda.

“The Juniors Kung Fu Wushu Ambassadors Cup will be for juniors aged between 4-15 years with over 288 children set from 24 local clubs with each being represented by 12 in the competition,” Uwiragiye explained.

According to the president the competition is set to kick off from 09h00 in the morning to 13h00 at Amahoro stadium in Rwanda. After the competition, the 70th celebrations will commence in Kigali Convention Center from 16h00 in the event to 21:00 courtesy of the Embassy of the Republic of China in Rwanda.

The occasion will be graced with a Kung Fu Wushu Taoulo demonstrations for the juniors and adults, entertainment which includes drama of the Rwandan Kungu Fu Chinese language students plus an award giving ceremony., enter

Uwiragiye further explained the Junior Kung Fu Wushu Ambassador Cup will be organized to demonstrate the good relations between the two countries; Republic of China and Rwanda.

In June this year, the Rwanda Kung Fu Federation organized an ‘International Never Again’ tournament, from June 22-23 with countries taking part including host Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi and Democratic republic of Congo.
