Lt. Col Joseph Nzabamwita appointed a new military spokesman

Lt Col Joseph Nzamwita

Kigali-Lt.Col Nzabamwita has been appointed the new Military and Defence Spokesperson, replacing Lt. Col Jill Rutaremara who went for further studies.

Prior to his appointment, Lt. Col Nzabamwita, was the commanding officer of the 105 battalion based in Rubavu-Nyabihu District, Western Province.

The soft speaking Nzabamwita, has also served as the Deputy boss of the National Security Service (NSS) and External Security boss for short time respectively.

Lt. Col Nzabamwita previously worked as Rwanda’s Defence and Military attaché in Washington D.C.

The 45-year old holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Makerere University, Kampala and a Masters in International Law from the University of Washington
