Kigali, Rwanda-European Union has today disbursed the money for budget support equivalent to Euro 47 Million to Rwanda’s Finance account, Great Lakes Voice reports

The move ends media speculations that EU have cut budget support cash for Rwanda due to the UN report of experts linking Kigali government to Congolese rebel movement M23.

An official from Ministry of Finance has confirmed to this publication that EU has honored their contribution. Without diverging details, the minister of Finance and economical planning, John Rwangomba said; “Today EU disbursed 47mn€ to our bank account as general budget support.”

Yesterday, US government called on Kigali to denounce M23. However, Rwanda government has been repeatedly refuting M23 linking claims.
