Gen.BEM HABARIMANA, CNL-Intwari boss

By Robert Mugabe and agencies

It all started during the meeting which was convened by CNL-Intwari the party for the former minister of Defence, Gen.BEM Emmanuel Habyarimana in Brussels from 09-10 April 10, 2011. Then, after the party’s meeting, they issued a press statement in the name of the coalition of Rwanda National Congress RNC, FDU-Inkingi with allots of allegations that are controversial as RNU and FDU believes.

The CNL-Intwari statement was largely viewed as a way of denying the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, supporting FDLR and use of force to over-throw Kagame’s government, accusing the ruling RPF to have planned 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and implementing it. Also, introducing double Genocide theory.

Among the controversies in the CNL-Intwari’s statement, said that the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, “the ruling party RPF and other west super powers planed and implemented it.” The claim, which both FDU and RNC has refuted completely in their statement issued April 21, 2011.

The second allegation was that “the coalition supports and speaks for the fighting militia which is based in Eastern Congo FDLR” also both FDU-Inkingi and RNU rejects the idea.

The CLR-Intwari statement dated April 10, 2011 alleged that because of Hutu killings recorded in UN mapping report, there was no Genocide against the Tusti rather a conflict which claims the lives of Rwandans. They proposed a solution of bringing the two ethnic groups (Tutsi&Hutu) to forgive each other and forge the way forward for the nation, ruling out the possibility of Just.

“We believe that the Genocide against the Tutsi was planed and implemented as confirmed by the international experts and recognized by UN, the other crimes against the humanity documented, can’t be used as an excused to deny the Genocide against the Tutsi.” The statement issued by RNU& reads

The above claim also which has brought allot of dust in the coalition of these political parties, RNU&FDU-Inkingi believe that the claims harbors the genocide against the Tutsi denial which was investigated, documented worldly accepted by the international community.

According to the press statement released by both FDU-Inkingi and RNU have differed themselves with their former ally CNL-Intwari ideology and fully acknowledges the Genocide against the Tutsi.
