Rwanda Police undergo a major reshuffle

Kigali, Rwanda-The Rwanda National Police has undergone a major reshuffle effective this Monday, September 2, 2013. Great Lakes Voice has established.

Commissioners of CID, Public Relations and Community Policing, Traffic and Road Safety, Intelligence, Academy (Schools), and Directors of Directorates have been moved.

ACP Theos Badege hands over the Commission for PR & Community Policing to ACP Damas Gatera and takes over the CID duties.  CP Christopher Bizimungu who police sources said had had long standing with IGP is now Dean of Studies at the Police Academy.

CSP Felly Bahizi hands over the Commission for Traffic and Road Safety to and goes to head the Intelligence.

Efforts to speak to the IGP Emmanuel Gasana were futile since he could not pick our calls to give his comments on the reshuffle in his force.
