FDLR kidnapping and looting near Butembo Orientale province

Butembo, DRC-One of the three boys abducted in the village of Vunande by FDLR combatants, Thursday, December 1, only one managed to escape this Monday, December 5, say civil society Butembo, 60 km from the village where the rebels attacked .


It recognizes that Rwandan rebels remain active in the area of ​​Kasuo-Vuyinga particularly along the river Lubero and around the Maiko National Park, where the FDLR and its allies are engaged in the illegal exploitation of gold and poaching.

Abducted to carry FDLR loot, the other two are still young in the hands of their captors who also carried valuable goods.

According to local civil society, a dozen of FDLR combatants armed with guns broke into the village of Vunande by firing shots into the air.

Late Saturday, the administrative authorities of Lubero, civil society said that the FDLR are then moved from house to house to rob the peaceful inhabitants of their property.

The police commander of the territory of Lubero, Colonel Serushago confirms the information to Great lakes Voice.
